GLOBAL PROBLEM SOLVING
The United Nations report Exploring Youth Entrepreneurship explores aspects of youth entrepreneurship as a mechanism to address development challenges and support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It identifies that “jobs are seen as the cornerstone of development, and are critical in promoting prosperity, fighting poverty and encouraging peace.”
At the University of Auckland, the Business School’s Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) frequently incorporates the UNSDGs into the development of programmes. Our offerings are free and open to students and staff of all faculties, ensuring interdisciplinary collaboration. Our community of students and alumni are drawn to developing solutions to address the world’s problems through venture development and social entrepreneurship.
Find out through the links below about some of the work that our CIE community is doing to address the UNSDGs.
