Innovation Wānanga
Join our monthly wānanga, running from March – October. Held at Kura Matahuna, Unleash Space, this is your place to foster Whakawhanaungatanga, networking and manaakitanga. Designed for tauira (students) of all faculties as an opportunity to explore innovation and entrepreneurship through a Te Ao Māori lens. Meet students and staff of all faculties and be inspired by a wide range of guest speakers.

Join our Velocity team at their annual event celebrating Māori innovators and entrepreneurs. Be inspired by the journey of changemakers who are embracing and celebrating opportunities. Whiua ki te Ao offers a unique opportunity to hear firsthand how values, heritage, and culture have shaped these leaders’ paths, and to get inspired about your own potential.

Kurutao Entrepreneurial Leaders Expedition
Kurutao is a multi-day expedition for Māori tauira (students) to explore Aotearoa’s vibrant innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. Through hands-on workshops, inspiring site visits in Tāmaki Makaurau and Northland, and meaningful connections, you’ll gain insight into how Māori values and innovation can drive impactful change. Travel takes place in July, with pre and post-expedition workshops.
