

Study shows New Zealand women behind on pay equity despite being the most educated in a global ranking
A recent insights report created by the World Economic Forum came to the conclusion that it will take another 132 years to close the global gender gap. It also showed that women are starting their own companies at a rate outpacing men, raising questions that women may be opting out of participating in the systems that disadvantage them.
Finalists announced for the 2022 Velocity $100k Challenge
The 15 finalist teams for the University of Auckland Business School’s Velocity $100k Challenge have been announced. Venture ideas have been developed by students and staff that address a range of economic, social and environmental problems. The concepts represent the diversity of entrepreneurial thinking at the University with the ideas including solutions for water issues, sexual consent, mental health, dementia, chronic pain, sustainable packaging and satellites.
Game-jammers invent new games together
The University of Auckland Business School’s Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) recently hosted Kiwijam at its innovation hub and maker space, Unleash Space, for their Auckland annual in-person game-jam.
