About the Programme:

Curious about entrepreneurship? Wondering if you could turn an idea into something real? The One-Day Start-up Workshop is the perfect way to explore the exciting world of start-ups in just one day!

The world faces urgent challenges—but how do we transform problems into venture ideas? This hands-on workshop equips you with cutting-edge problem-solving techniques, blending design thinking with entrepreneurial approaches.
The workshop spans a variety of topics, including the basics of building a venture idea, sustainability, serendipity, and insights from experienced entrepreneurs.

No prior experience? No problem! This workshop is open to all University of Auckland students and staff. Just bring your curiosity and an open mind. We can’t wait to see you there!

Your Opportunity:

  • Learn the basics: Dive into a crash course on venture ideation in the dynamic Unleash Space.

Facilitator:

Dr. Nele Terveen

Nele Terveen

Dr. Nele Terveen is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Innovation & Strategy at the University of Auckland Business School.
With a background in sustainable entrepreneurship and a PhD from TU Munich, Nele’s work focuses on creating entrepreneurial solutions
at the intersection of sustainability, innovation, and the circular economy.

She is affiliated with the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability, where she has specialized in serendipity and sustainability
problem-solving by integrating design thinking into entrepreneurial ventures.

Nele’s research bridges academic theory and industry practice, and she is leading projects involving indigenous entrepreneurship,
circular systems, and climate adaptation. She is passionate about building transformative networks that drive scalable solutions
to global sustainability challenges.
